2011 BMW X4

Some sources are of the view that the X4 would resemble a scaled-down X6, but most foresee it as a practical application of the 2000 X coupe concept, which served as the basis for the introduction of major elements of current BMW styling.

Most sources say that the 2011 BMW X4 will hit the roads later in 2010, soon after the rollout of an all new X3.

Style comes with a price, and the X4 is almost sure to mimic the X6 in costing a good deal more than its parent SUV. With X6s running $6,600-$8,500 above equivalent X5s, and with the 2008 X3 starting at $38,000, it is expected that the X4 would open at around $44,600~.

A lot is dependant on how lavish BMW is with standard content and on price pressure from the continuing steep rise in global commodity costs, especially for steel.
